We used Dave's Transport to do a long round journey around Cape Town and Somerset West collecting various pieces of furniture, and were very happy with their service. Many pieces were complex, fragile or heavy. Dave and his team are experts in their job and took great care to protect and move each piece with due appropriate consideration. Everything was carefully covered with blankets and plastic covering for protection, and expertly maneuvered. The greatest accomplishment was the solid teak bar, which was extremely heavy and cumbersome. They had to get it through a very narrow spiral staircase surrounded with glass and into a cellar. It was a highly complex task! The guys never gave up and took great lengths to get the job done successfully. Eventually they had to deconstruct it and take it down in pieces. They then reassembled it beautifully in its new home. This was really a task beyond expectation! We can therefore highly recommend Dave and his team. I've worked with a few movers in the past. I had some good and some bad experiences. I needed a small local move done and tried my hand with Dave's Transport based on their reviews and recommendations. The move was small, but they did a great job and managed to finish it quick. I had zero damages. I also didn't have to deal with added charges or rude movers, which were excellent for a change. I hired Joe and his crew to move us from Richards Bay to Piketberg. The guys did a fantastic job.  Joe and his crew showed up on time in Richards Bay, packed well, and I got everything delivered at my new home without any problems. Dave's Transport came recommended by friends of ours in Stellenbosch.  With all the information on the net, we were able to narrow down my pick to three stable companies. The main reason we went with Dave's Transport was because of Joe who was my contact with them.  They were a bit more expensive than others, but he made us feel comfortable, and he wasn't pushy like the others. Their moving guys showed up as planned and went to work right away. Everything was packed and loaded promptly. Unlike our previous experiences, nothing got broken or scratched, no overcharging or having to deal with difficult staff. The experience was A+, so they get  10 out of 10 from us. We moved from Somerset West to Port Alfred and because we have used Dave's Transport a few times for small jobs, we asked them for a quote. Joe handles the long distance moves and he was absolutely amazing. He was always there on email to answer all our questions and give advice. On the day of the move Joe and the crew were on time and did everything as promised. Our move was just not complex, but just like anybody else, we wanted a smooth experience.  The team did a great job throughout the entire moving process. Dave's Transport made a local move for my family and me. It was a 2 bedroom home from Strand to Gordon's Bay. Dave and his great crew managed to get the job done in half a day. We had a great experience with Dave and his company.  Our family hired them for our move from Wellington to Brackenfell. They were on time, polite and did a great job packing our 3 bedroom house. Finding a quality moving company is always challenging. The internet has thousands of topics about moving, moving scams, and complaints. However we were so impressed with the website of Dave's Transport that we decided to ask them for a quote. Our move was only a 2 bedroom, with difficult access, and they could only use a small truck due to weight restrictions in the complex. Dave and the team were on-time, prompt, and very efficient. It took about 4 hours to get everything done and we were unpacking all the boxes before sunset. I recently hired Dave's Transport for a long distance move and was very pleased with the outcome. We moved from Durban via Kimberley to drop off a number of items and took the rest to Cape Town.  Here I asked Joe and the team to transport a number of large items back to Durban. Everything went to perfection and I was so impressed with the great service that I would use them again. My husband and I have made use of Dave's Transport five times in the last 4 years (2016-2020). We have literally never experienced damage to our furniture or been inconvenienced by waiting on Dave and his crew. They are prompt, efficient and completely reliable. We have once or twice asked Dave for more than what was quoted on and he was happy to oblige. He responds quickly to queries and his prices are more than competitive. Dave and his team of very friendly men have moved us twice in the last five years- one simply doesn't go back to the same company if business isn't good.
