We have used Dave's Transport (DT) very recently on two occasions for small to medium sized loads (mostly house contents), from Somerset West and Cape Town to Betty's Bay. DT is very well priced, reliable and they offer the full range of coverage for what has to be transported (wrappings, insurance, etc). We were very impressed with their procedure for standard protection by the use of blankets and plastic wrap. We would have no hesitation to use DT again. We used Dave's Transport moving a few sets of antique bedroom furniture from Richards Bay to Fish Hoek. I was nervous as the furniture is antique and with many mirrors attached (especially on the ladies vanity). In the end I was so happy with the service as every piece arrived in perfect condition. Joe who was in charge is a super fellow. He answered all my questions ahead of time and showed up on time when they said they would. The crew was very careful packing each piece with bubble wrap and Cori craft material before wrapping in blankets. They were as careful bringing the furniture into our new home and didn't scratch any walls or floor as they carried each piece to where it needed to be. A very good moving experience for us. Dave and his team deserve FIVE stars. They are a dedicated team, extremely professional and caring. Dave is a man of word. What he promised to us is what he delivered. I thought moving is a difficult and stressful process but Dave and his friendly staff deserve more than a 5-star review for helping us make this move from Cape Town to Somerset West as memorable as possible. I had lots of fragile items (I did packaging on my own) and all the items were brought to Somerset West without damages, which I feel is incredible. I believe they are the best movers in the market!. If you are planning to move across the country then Dave's Transport is the best and most affordable option. We hired them for our move from Newlands in Cape Town to Newcastle in KZN. It went pretty smoothly, considering that we had to postpone the moving date twice and Joe from Dave's Transport had to fit us into their busy schedule. The best part of the whole process was the professional way that the team wraps the furniture, using bubble wrap, carton and plastic covers for mattresses and couches. We have just finished unpacking all the boxes from our move from Port Edward to Kuilsrivier in Cape Town and I can say that all the items arrived in perfect condition.
