I just finished my move with Dave Transport and his team for my move from Somerset West to Hout Bay. Fantastic and excellent service from start to finish! I was worried at first, considering I have many fragile white pieces of furniture, but they were very thorough in double-wrapping all my pieces. Their loading was efficient and very quick. Seriously, it's the best moving company in town! We used them once about 10 years ago and recently used them this month when we downsized from our house in Stellenbosch to a retirement village in Hermanus. They were easy to reach and speak to online and via text message. Booking is easy and quick, they were able to accommodate us for a last minute move within a week of our closing date. They arrived on time and quickly moved throughout our house, packaging all our belongings and labelling each box efficiently. They were kind, well-organized, well-done! Joe and his crew were fantastic. They showed up as promised on time for our move from the Strand to Mossel Bay. They were very careful with our furniture, were polite and extremely hard working. Nothing was too much and they assisted in many ways to take a few extra items with. The delivery to our new house was super-efficient too, and no breakages at all! We only use Dave's Transport. They always do a super job. We moved from Somerset West to Gordon's Bay. They had to haul a large, heavy couch up the outside of our new home to get it in the upstairs loft, and they never complained, just got with it and got it done. No scratches, no dents, just perfect work in a fast process. They never stopped, and all of the furniture was oversized and heavy. They brought with them a smile, and they left with a smile!! We moved over the June long weekend and used the supersize truck from Dave's Transport for our relocation from Knysna to Umhlanga. Best decision ever!! Joe and his crew were fantastic. Extremely kind and thoughtful. The crew worked fast, loading and wrapping our furniture. Once we arrived at the new house, they were extremely patient with furniture placement - even willing to move some pieces several times. From the beginning, when we were getting quotes for our move from Pinelands to Franschhoek, we first talked with Dave, who was awesome - very thorough & transparent about their pricing. On moving day Dave and his crew were punctual, quick, thorough, and handled moving our things delicately. After packing the house furniture into the truck, they even went and grabbed everything from storage before heading to the new house in….. We couldn't have asked for better movers. The crew we had from Dave Transport, including the supervisor Joe, provided service that was beyond the pale for our move from Richards Bay to Saldanha. When they arrived, the building hadn't cleared a spot for them to park, so they waited while I reached out to the building to resolve the issue and waited patiently until they got parking. They were quick, efficient, and careful throughout the move. Unpacking the truck at our new place in Saldanha was well planned, fast, and always careful. The entire crew was friendly and personable, but Joe was the spark that made this experience above the 5-star rating allowed. His insight, used because of 11 years with the company, was, without question, the final piece that placed this group and company over the top.
